EVMS celebrated commencement on May 20 as nearly 400 students joined the ranks of EVMS alumni and enter into careers in health professions and medicine.

This year鈥檚 commencement speaker is Kirsten Bibbins-Domingo, PhD, MD, MAS. She is the Editor in Chief of the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) and the JAMA Network. She is the Lee Goldman, MD Endowed Professor of Medicine and Professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).

Bibbins-Domingo is s a trailblazing physician, scientist, and scholar who has built on her stellar professional background to become a leading figure in medicine and an influential advocate for the health of vulnerable populations,鈥 says Dr. Alfred Abuhamad, President, Provost and Dean of the School of Medicine. 鈥淲e are very fortunate to have her join us for this year鈥檚 commencement.鈥

The commencement ceremony was held at 10 a.m. at Norfolk Scope Arena.
