The Virginia Advancing Cancer Control Engaged Research Through Transformative Solutions Center (VA-ACCERT) invites faculty, clinicians, students, and community partners to attend the second annual Closing the Gap: Cancer Risk Reduction Summit on Saturday, March 21. The Summit will address cancer risk, focusing on nutrition, physical activity, and screening. 

As part of the Summit, VA-ACCERT is opening a call for project proposals that respond directly to the priorities identified during the Summit. The funding includes up to $145,000 in direct costs over three years ($25,000 in Year 1; $60,000 in Years 2 and 3). The principal investigator must be an ±¬ÁÏ¹Ï faulty member. Letters of intent will be due in May, with invited applications due in September. At least one project lead must attend the Summit to be eligible to apply.
