±¬ĮĻ¹Ļā€™s 47th annual Literary Festival ā€” Oct. 6-11, 2024 ā€” delivered a cornucopia of insights and entertainment: readings, panel discussions, interdisciplinary events, and performances. Connections to art, music, dance ā€” even healthcare ā€” were explored. The festival, presented under the theme ā€œAncient Futures,ā€ offered more than 18 events over six days. Nested within the festival were the launch party for a new student publication, ā€œConstellate,ā€ and the local kickoff of the National Endowment for the Arts Big Read initiative. Rebekah Taussig, whose memoir ā€œSitting Pretty: The View From My Ordinary Resilient Disabled Bodyā€ is a Big Read featured title, spoke at Chartway Arenaā€™s Big Blue Room and led an intimate workshop for students in the Batten Arts and Letters Building.
