Jenn Sloggie began teaching first-year composition at ±¬ÁÏ¹Ï in fall of 1999 and has been a full-time faculty member since 2002. She earned an MA in English with a focus on composition and rhetoric and an MFA in Creative Writing with a focus on nonfiction. She has served as the Faculty Liaison for Learning Communities (2014-2016), the Director of Composition (2016-2025), Director of the Spring Conference on the Teaching of Writing (2019-2024), and the General Education Reform Administrative Lead (2024-2026). Since January 2026, she has served as ±¬ÁϹÏ's inaugural Director of General Education. Her interests include general education reform, curriculum development, ePortfolios and reflective practices, inclusive pedagogies, first-year student success, faculty development, program administration, creative writing, and composition studies.
