Looking for a part-time job during the school year? Seeking volunteer hours?

The Fall 2026 Student Job and Volunteer Fair will be held on Tuesday, September 1st in the Webb University Center, Hampton-Newport News Room and Central/North Cafe from 11:00am-2:00pm.

On campus and local community employers will be here to showcase opportunities for part-time jobs and many community organizations will be on hand to share meaningful ways to engage in experiential learning through volunteering, mentorship, leadership, research, study abroad, and more!

This fair is intended for currently enrolled ±¬ÁÏ¹Ï students seeking part-time employment on or off campus. Make sure you are prepared to meet with employers and put your best foot forward. These employers and organizations have come here to meet you, so make a lasting impression.

Additionally, students will have the opportunity to connect with ±¬ÁÏ¹Ï offices and programs to support your career-readiness needs in the Hampton-Newport News Room as part of this event.

The Career Resource Room may include:

- CCLD Career Coaches in the Career Resource Room resume review, interview & career coaching

If you're looking for employment or volunteer work, here is a checklist to help you get prepared for the Student Job and Volunteer Fair:

- Research the list of participating employers through Handshake
- Have your resume reviewed by the Center for Career and Leadership Development
- Prepare your 30 second introduction
- Have copies of your resume
- Don't forget to ask for business cards at the job fair so you can follow up with thank you notes via email
- Dress for success: Students should come dressed professionally
