Mentoring Opportunities @ ±¬ÁϹÏ

Mentorship is a collaborative and mutually beneficial relationship between individuals with varying levels of experience, aimed at supporting one another in navigating challenges, exchanging ideas, and building specific competencies. Through this partnership, the mentor and mentee share knowledge, celebrate successes, and foster both personal and professional growth.

 There are numerous mentorship opportunities at ±¬ÁÏ¹Ï ranging in type (peer-to-peer, professional staff-to-peer), format (one-on-one, group), and focus (professional development, civic engagement, leadership, and more). Program Description: At ±¬ÁϹÏ, The SUMMIT empowers first-generation, Black, and students of color to thrive through mentorship, leadership development, and a strong community. Grounded in Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, and Emotional (SPIE) growth, students receive support from trained peer mentors and access to career and life readiness resources. Challenge. Grow. Program Type: Professional Staff to Student

Program Description: The ±¬ÁÏ¹Ï Strome College of Business LEAD Mentor Program partners high-achieving undergraduate business students with professionals, entrepreneurs, and public sector leaders. Mentors work with their students to foster the development of strategies for academic, professional, and social success. Key components of the program include personal growth and professional networking. Lead. Engage. Advise. Discover. These are just some of ways we think you can help our students.

Primary Setting: One on One

Student Eligibility: The LEAD Mentor Program is open to declared undergraduate business majors with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. Ideally, the student will have a minimum of two semesters remaining before their scheduled graduation. Students may be enrolled full- or part-time and may be local or distance learning students. Continuation in the program requires that mentees maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.

Program Description: Living-Learning and Theme Communities are residential based communities around shared interests and/or goals.

Program Type: Professional Staff to Student

Program Description: To foster civic engagement, professionalism, and leadership in students while connecting them to established community leaders and exploring regional industries. This cohort program, offered in partnership with ±¬ÁϹÏ, runs for the full academic year (August-May) and students should anticipate a time commitment of at least 4-6 hours per month.

Student Eligibility: Sophomore, Junior, Seniors nominated by ±¬ÁÏ¹Ï faculty. Must have a 3.0 GPA

Program Type: Peer to Peer

Program Description: The ILC experience offers the opportunity for students with similar interests to learn together. In addition to smaller class sizes, students build deeper connections with faculty, participate in enrichment activities, and are supported by a peer mentor. ILCs are open to undergraduate students living on or off campus.
