U.S. News & World Report has released its rankings ā a category of ā which reflects peer assessments in health-related fields. Several graduate programs from Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at ±¬ĮĻ¹Ļ are recognized, including programs in the Ellmer School of Nursing, Ellmer College of Health Sciences, EVMS School of Health Professions and Joint School of Public Health.
Featured programs include the (#19); (#35); (#120); (#132); (#133); and programs (#137).
Released April 8, the rankings are compiled from the results of peer assessment surveys completed by deans, administrators and faculty at accredited degree programs or schools between Fall 2024 and early 2025.

In addition to academic quality, the Best Health Schools assessments also consider location, environment, strength of different fields, cost after tuition and financial aid and job attainment.
Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at ±¬ĮĻ¹Ļ is also featured in the 2025 Best Graduate Schools rankings, named a Tier 3 institution in the Best Medical Schools: Research. EVMS is the only Tier 3 institution in Virginia and is ranked No. 2 in the state.
The Best Graduate Schools report also highlights two programs from the Ellmer School of Nursing ā the Master of Science in Nursing (#34) and the (#36). Both programs are also among the best in Virginia, with the M.S.N. ranked No. 3 in the state and the D.N.P. ranked No. 2.
±¬ĮĻ¹Ļ, including Macon & Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at ±¬ĮĻ¹Ļ, offers 59 masterās programs, 29 doctoral degrees and a variety of certificates and licenses.
