PRE-REGISTRATION is open to all degree-seeking students registered in Fall 2025, based on the number of credit hours completed. Pre-registration is available via LEO Online Banner Registration ( or ) Monday-Saturday 8am-11pm and Sunday noon-11pm, and at the Registrar's Office Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
An electronic registration priority window is required during pre-registration. Students with a registration priority window may not register earlier than their scheduled time, whether online or in-person.
Registration priority window is assigned approximately one month prior to pre-registration. Students are notified by email to the ±¬ÁÏ¹Ï student email address, when registration priority window has been run.
The following are NOT ELIGIBLE for registration priority window and may not register during pre-registration:
- nondegree students,
- newly admitted/reactivated students, and
- students who are not registered for classes in the Fall 2025 semester.
Students who have not attended classes in 12 months or more should contact the Office of Admissions to reactivate their student record before attempting to register.
Before requesting a registration priority window, please review the policy above. If you are not eligible for a registration priority window, one will NOT be issued to you.
Pre-registration and Registration Priority Window
NOTE: Spring & Summer 2026 pre-registration is Monday-Friday, October 27 - 31, 2025.
Please review the registration timetable below to see when you may be eligible to register.
Once registration priority window is assigned, view in Banner Registration-->Prepare for Registration (remember to select the Spring or Summer 2026 term first). Be sure to check course begin and end dates when planning and registering.
Students without registration priority window will be eligible to register beginning after the last day of pre-registration.
Pre-registration for Military Students
Active Duty, Veterans, Reservists and Virginia National Guard Service Members
Priority pre-registration is available for currently registered (Fall 2025) degree-seeking active duty, veterans, reservists, and Virginia National Guard service members. Preregistration will be based on the student's class (senior, junior, etc.) and will allow registration during the earliest registration time for his or her class.
Open Registration
Open registration for all students begins after the last day of the pre-registration period, and all admitted students may register at that time.
No time ticket is required once open registration begins.
Electronic registration priority window is required to register for classes during the PRE-REGISTRATION period. Your registration priority window tells you the earliest day and time you are eligible to register for classes. All graduate students with registration priority window are eligible to register beginning the first day of pre-registration. You cannot register for classes earlier than your scheduled time.
Admitted students without registration priority window are eligible to register when open registration begins, at which time no registration priority window is required.
Registration priority window is run for the first time approximately one month prior to pre-registration. NO registration priority window will be available before then, but you can view the Registration Timetable to see when you MAY be able to register.
Registration priority window is assigned only to degree-seeking students who are registered for classes in the Fall 2025 term.
- Registration priority window is assigned on the basis of credit hours completed (and transfer hours posted) through the most recent semester attended. Hours the student is currently taking do not count toward registration priority window.
- Registration priority window isupdated immediately before pre-registration, to pick up any late posted transfer credits (must be posted to your academic history to be counted in registration priority window).
To see your electronic registration priority window, after it has been assigned:
- Log in to the secure area of or the using your MIDAS ID and password.
- In the Portal, when registration priority window is available you will see a button to view registration priority window.
- In LEO Online click on Admissions, Registration, Student Records.... and click on Registration to go to Banner Registration.
- Select the term for which you want to register.
- Click on Prepare for Registration to view your registration priority window.
Check for Holds!
To avoid delays in registering for classes, all students should check for holds in LEO Online or the University Portal (My Status Alerts) and ensure that all holds preventing registration have been cleared. Future holds (holds with an effective date in the future) only display in View Holds and are displayed in bold text.

The timetable below reflects the electronic registration priority window schedule and is based on the number of credit hours completed.
