The First-Generation Committee is dedicated to identifying, building awareness, engaging, and celebrating first-generation college students through inclusive initiatives. By developing division-wide programs, initiatives, and recommendations, the committee plays a crucial role in creating a supportive environment for underserved populations. Members should be passionate about contributing to an asset-based environment for students to flourish.

The SCL Programming Committee plays a central role in shaping the cultural and social elements of the student experience by coordinating and standardizing SCL programs and events. With a focus on raising student awareness of programs and resources each week, the committee coordinates a centralized program calendar, enhance marketing strategies, and streamline evaluation processes to contribute to overall programming effectiveness. By establishing standards and tools for hosting impactful events, the committee aims to elevate the quality of student programming.

In partnership with the Programming Committee, the Skills Committee translates and articulates what students learn from their co-curricular involvement and work experiences into identifiable skills for their chosen career path. Division-wide learning outcomes for student employees at a university are important because they ensure consistent skill development, enhance the student experience, improve service quality, increase engagement and retention, align with institutional goals, and facilitate data-driven program improvements.
